Book Excerpt

Everything in Elizabeth Egan’s life has its place, from the espresso cups in her gleaming kitchen to the swatches and paint pots of her interior design business. Order and precision keep life under control-and keep Elizabeth’s heart safe from the pain and hurt she has suffered in the past. Being a reluctant mother to her six-year-old nephew while trying to keep her design business on track is a full-time job for Elizabeth, and one that leaves little room for error-or fun.
Until one day, when Ivan unexpectedly comes into their lives

My Thoughts

Did you have an imaginary friend growing up? Do you believe in imaginary friends? Well if you didn’t before, this book will make you a believer. This book takes place in small sleepy town in Ireland. When Ivan enters the lives of Luke and Elizabeth, their lives changes forever. Ever since Elizabeth was a child she has been responsible for her family, the baby sister her mother abandoned at an early age, the father who became lost and broken when her mother left, and now the child her sister cannot take care of because of her wild, carefree and drunken state. Elizabeth is charged to take care of everyone, but there is no one to take if Elizabeth. Enter Ivan who hails from the land of  Ekam Eveileb (make believe) the friend that Elizabeth most needs in life, the one person who reminds her there is still magic, love and hope. The person who makes her believes in herself. If You Could See Me Now is a love story, a story where you find hope in the last place expected, and where you can find joy in sadness. A place where you can still believe.
